City Name Now Pick-List in Add/Edit and Searches
Entry of the ‘City Name’ is no longer a free form text entry. You are ONLY able to select a value from a pick list. Here's how it works:
• You can either use the drop down arrow and scroll down the list until you find your city or you can start typing in your desired city name in the field and options will appear that you are able to select from a list. In other words, if you type 'gre', Greensboro will come up and you can tab through to your next entry field.
• Should you encounter a situation where the city value you need is not on the list, please follow the instructions below.
1. During normal business hours (8:00AM – 5:00PM EST M-F), just call our office and we can add upon your request.
2. After normal business hours and on weekends, should you be entering a listing and the valid city name you want to select is NOT on the list, save the listing as incomplete and then during the next business day, contact the MLS and we can add the value upon your call and once that occurs you will be able to go into your incomplete listing, make the necessary change then submit listing as Active.
3. Again however, we recommend that you leave the listing in an incomplete status until the city value is entered so that the listing will map correctly and display correctly on any third party websites (IDX, Realtor.com, etc.) when you actually submit as active.
